Alice Carol Jones, 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:31 A.M., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at her residence.
Alice had worked as a sales clerk in the clothing industry.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.  Alice was also  a member of Retail Clerks Union.  Alice enjoyed nature, photography and painting.  She and her classmates from Du Quoin High School Class of 1958 would gather monthly and enjoy a meal together.
She was born March 18, 1940 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Sam and Edith Mae (George) Clark.
She married Roger A. Jones on August 29, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, two sons - Brett Jones and wife Cindy of Du Quoin and Kenny Jones and wife Brenda of Christopher, four grandchildren - Kristina, Dawn, Amber and Michael and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the Old Du Quoin Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
