Bart Alan Nevill, 54, of Tamaroa, passed away at 8:25 P.M., Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Bart had been a Sergeant at Centralia Correctional Center. He was of the Christian faith. Bart enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and fishing.
He was born April 22, 1968 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Norman and Janet (Siefert) Nevill.
He married Karen Taylor on February 18, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, two daughters - Lilly Fay Nevill and Ivy Grace Nevill, both of Tamaroa, one brother - Brent R. Nevill and wife Linda of Du Quoin, one brother-in-law - Travis Helsley of Du Quoin, nephews - Dax (Chelsea) Nevill, Ethan (Lauren) Nevill, and Trevor Helsley and one niece - Lauren Helsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister - Ronda Helsley, paternal grandparents - George and Fay Nevill and maternal grandparents - Charlie and Myrtle Siefert.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Danny Schlag officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the McElvain Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Education Fund for Lilly and Ivy with donations made to Karen Nevill and will be accepted at the funeral home.
