Bettie Kyle Feazel, 89, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:02 A.M., Saturday, July 31, 2021 at her residence.
Bettie had been a bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Du Quoin. Bettie was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star (past worthy matron), DAR (past chaplain), American Legion Auxiliary, and Hillbilly Shriner.
She was born November 26, 1931 at Elmhurst, IL, the daughter of Grover Day and Elizabeth (Wright) Gilbert.
She married Gordon G. Feazel on July 28, 1953 at Honolulu, HI and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2013.
She is survived by one daughter - Cynthia K. Norris and husband Ronald of Du Quoin, two granddaughters - Dianna K. Stacks and husband Jaron of DeSoto, IL, and Thresa E. Norris and Terry Fetters of Du Quoin, two great granddaughters - Cheyanne T. Ramsey and Tharon L. Stacks, both of DeSoto, IL, and one brother - Richard W. Gilbert and wife Barbara of San Diego, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her oldest brother - Frank O. Gilbert and his wife.
Per Bettie's request, cremation rites were accorded.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Shriners Hospital for Children, American Cancer Society or Residential Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
