Betty L. Rea, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:08 A.M., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Betty had worked at Sun Carpet as an interior designer.  She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born January 4, 1931 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Alva McKinley and Mina (Brown) Brayfield.
She married Arlin Rea in 1948 in Du Quoin, IL.
She is survived by two sons - Dennis Rea and wife Laura of Du Quoin and Daryl Rea of Florida, one brother - Don Brayfield and wife Bettie of Du Quoin, one sister - Margaret Dorsey of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son - Danny Rea, and two brothers - Noel Brayfield and Nelson Brayfield.
Per Betty's request, cremation rites will be accorded.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Friends may make memorials to Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
