Billie Joe Robertson, Jr., 56, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:48 A.M., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his residence.

Billie had worked at General Cable in shipping. He was of the Baptist faith. Billie was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He was born July 2, 1964 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Billie Joe and Viola (Smith) Robertson.

He married Tammy Kay Thompson on August 15, 1986 at Du Quoin, IL and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one son - Braden Robertson of Du Quoin, his mother - Viola Robertson of Du Quoin, one sister - Barb Gossman Eisenhauer of Du Quoin, two brothers - Mike Robertson of Du Quoin and Randy Robertson of West Frankfort, father-in-law - Richard Thompson of Du Quoin, sister-in-law - Julie Essary of Pinckneyville, several nieces and nephews including Tyler Essary of Pinckneyville, his dog - Benji and cats - Little Bit, Bella and Baby Girl.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Per Billie's request, cremation rites were accorded.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Friends may make memorials to Residential Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
