Brian Lee Oetting, 53, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:32 P.M., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Brian had been a laborer in the construction field.
He was born December 21, 1967 at Tucson, AZ, the son of David and Shirley (Smith) Oetting.
He married Tabetha Lively on July 20, 1996 at Du Quoin, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, mother - Shirley Oetting of Benson, AZ, two sons - Dustin Oetting and Sara Vaz of Du Quoin and Ezra Oetting of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Violet and Quinn Oetting of Du Quoin, and five siblings - Travis Oetting of Tucson, AZ, Christi Jones of Stigler, OK, Heather Gorman of Stigler, OK, Charlie Oetting of Stigler, OK, and Michael Turner of Stigler, OK.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother - Dorothy Oetting.
Per Brian's request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
