Carl Henry Harris, 61, of Tamaroa, passed away at 8:17 A.M., Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his residence in Tamaroa.
He had been a laborer for Local 773.  He was a member of Sons of The American Legion, Farm Bureau, and the Jaycee's, where he served as Senator. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Carl enjoyed going to tractors pulls with his John Deere and attending the American Thresherman Association.  He loved his dog Daisy.
Carl was born November 21, 1962 in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Captain Henry and Ruth Elizabeth (McCowen) Harris.
He is survived by one daughter - Grace Harris of Du Quoin and one sister - Linda Batson of Pinckneyville.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Ray Dudley.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Danny Norman officiating.
Friends may call from 1 P.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery in Tamaroa.
