Carole G. Heape, 80, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:15 P.M., Monday, February 14, 2022 at her residence.
Carole had been a homemaker. She had also worked as a cashier at Kroger for several years. Carole was of the nondenominational faith.
She was born January 28, 1942 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Louis and Irene (Griffin) Miller.
She married Phillip Heape on November 24, 1980 at Du Quoin, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, four children - Carole Longshore and husband Mark of Du Quoin, David Harper and wife Toni of Du Quoin, Lou Ann Cole and husband Roger of Bloomington, IL, and Kim Heape of Du Quoin, two step children - Amelia Heape and husband Len Ciccotello of Sherman Oaks, CA and Scott Heape and wife Melissa Lockwood of Bloomington, IL, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Though not blood, many looked to Carole as a Mom and Grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per Carole's request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public visitation or service.
