Carolyn J. Thompson, 79, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:10 A.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
She was a homemaker and of the protestant faith.
She was born September 26, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Harold and Jewel (Grunner) Hobbe.
Carolyn is survived by son - John Thompson of Boston, MA and daughter - Jill Siefert of Du Quoin, six grandchildren - Cassie Chumley of Du Quoin, Matt Chumley of Du Quoin, J.B. Thompson of Boston, Tommy Thompson of Boston, Katie Thompson of Boston and Carmella Thompson of Boston, great grandson - Gage Williams of Du Quoin and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Per Carolyn's request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public visitation or funeral.
