Cathy M. McClanahan, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:30 A.M., Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Cathy had been a registered nurse at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was of the Protestant faith.
She was born February 28, 1955 at Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Smith) Fischer.
She is survived by one daughter - Nancy Belcher of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Marcus Marshall and Cody Jones, both of Du Quoin, and one sister - Sally Baranowski of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers - Tommy Fischer and Phillip Fischer.
Per Cathy's request, cremation rites were accorded.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
