Cathy J. Weis, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:10 A.M., Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Cathy had been a homemaker.  Her working career consisted of working at Farm Fresh, custodian for the Methodist Church and working at Gilster-Mary Lee.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin.
She was born May 1, 1958 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Frank and Rosetta (Hackleman) Anheuser, Jr.
She married Gary G. Weis on April 7, 1978 at the Du Quoin Methodist Church and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, one daughter - Heather Wilson and husband Josh of Du Quoin, one son - Tyler Weis of Du Quoin, one step daughter - Christi Weis of Land of Lakes, FL, six grandchildren - Alex, Marina, Mackenzie, Mila, Triston, and Saylor, one brother - David Anheuser and wife Judy of Du Quoin, one sister - Cheryl Swallers and husband Steve of Du Quoin, one sister-in-law - Shirley Anheuser of Du Quoin, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother - Richard Anheuser.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Nathan Jackson officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
