Charlene M. Chitwood, 59, of Tamaroa, passed away at 7:16 A.M., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her residence.

Charlene had been a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was born March 26, 1961 at St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Charles P. and Cecelia A. (Partney) Sansoucie.

She married Ernest J. Chitwood on June 23, 1979 at St. Louis, MO and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, two daughters - Amy Rhoades and Amanda Haun, both of Tamaroa, one son - Rolan Chitwood of Tamaroa, three grandchildren - Johnathan Haun, Emilie Haun, and Liam Rhoades, all of Tamaroa, two sisters - Mary McDonald and husband Dale of De Soto, MO and Cathy Wofford and husband Dennis of Imperial, MO, brother-in-law - Rick McDonald of Imperial, MO, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson - Mason Rhoades and one sister - Sharon McDonald.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the cemetery.

Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.

Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa, IL.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
