Cindy Hagston, 74, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:34 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her residence.
Cindy had worked as a Secretary at SIU Housing. She had also worked at 5 Star Industries, Du Quoin National Bank and for Attorney Mark Maclin.
She was born July 4, 1950 in Du Quoin, IL the daughter of Paul William and Betty Lou (Shelton) Hartsock.
She is survived by two sons- Bart Hagston and wife Tracy of Murphysboro and Matt Hagston and wife Jeannie of Pinckneyville, four grandchildren- Morgan Weber and husband Kraig of Murphysboro, Austin Hagston and wife Leslie of Pinckneyville, Jacob Hagston and wife Katalynn of Redmond, WA, and Holly Swallers and husband Matt of Du Quoin, four great grandchildren- Benning Wright, Ryett Hagston, Ripley Swallers and Ender Swallers, two sisters- Dixie Lewis of Palo, IA and Paula Morgan and husband Bob of Du Quoin, special niece- Wendy White of Elkville, other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson- Blake Hartung, sister- Marsha Coffel, great granddaughter- Caroline Weber, two nieces- Krystal Dunn and Kimberly Peach, nephew- Glenn Grizzell.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Friends may make memorial to the Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Private family burial will be at a later date.
