Claudia Sue Rheinecker, 59, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:33 P.M., Friday, April 26, 2024 at her residence.
Claudia had been an in-home caretaker.  She was a member of Carbondale Church of Christ.
She was born May 6, 1964 in Carbondale, IL, the daughter of William Joseph and Betty (Bailey) Prowell.
She married Steve Rheinecker in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2007.
She is survived by one daughter - Sara Augenstein and husband Derrik of Greenville, IL, two grandchildren - Zoey Deaton and Ada Augenstein, three nieces - Mikayla Rheinecker  and fiance Michael Lynd of Carbondale, Tatum Wallace and Jennifer Hagene, both of Pinckneyville, two brothers - Joseph Prowell and William "Bill" Prowell and wife Debra, one sister - Pam Vaughn, two sisters-in-law - Laura Shute and husband Kory and Jeanne Mucha, and mother-in-law - Linda Roberson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the family to help with the funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
