Cynthia Kay Norris, 69, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:58 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Cindy had worked as a cook at Ward School and the new Du Quoin Middle School.  She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin.  Cindy was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved to sew, quilt and craft.  Cindy enjoyed going to car shows.
She was born January 15, 1954 in Honolulu, HI, the daughter of Gordon G. and Bettie Kyle (Gilbert) Feazel.
She married Ronald A. Norris on May 15, 1974 at the First Christian Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, two daughters - Dianna K. Stacks and husband Christopher of DeSoto, IL and Thresa Norris and Terry Fetters of Du Quoin, two granddaughters - Cheyanne T. Ramsey of Du Quoin and Tharon L. Stacks of DeSoto.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per Cindy's request, cremation rites were accorded.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Shriners Hospital or Special Olympics and will be accepted at the funeral home.
