Darrin Wayne George, 51, of Dowell, passed away at 9:06 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Darrin had been a laborer for a nursing home. He was a member of Faith Liberty Mission in Du Quoin.
He was born July 23, 1971 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Billy Dean George and Judith Watts. He was raised by Max Voyles and Judith Watts.
He married Kimberly Dawn Hester on September 28, 1996 in Du Quoin, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Dowell, three children - Kassity Przygoda and husband Aaron of Dowell, Darianne George and fiancé Davey Williams of Du Quoin, and Hannah George of Dowell, three grandchildren - Chloee Mansker, Remington Przygoda, and Owen Williams, his father - Max Voyles of Du Quoin, two brothers - Charles Crispin and Larry Voyles, six sisters - Karen Brooks and husband Brett, Kristi Peterson, Yvonne McDonnough and husband Jerry, Rachel Voyles, Amy Voyles, and Vicki McDaniels, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two aunts - Punky Watts and Tiny Vonderhide, one uncle - Buster Watts, and one sister - Sherry Miller.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Ronald McDonald House and will be accepted at the funeral home.
