David Halfacre, 62, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:44 A.M., Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at the Fairview Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Du Quoin.
David was an artist and had a shop at the Saint Louis Galleria.  He also worked with Randy Uhe. David was of the Lutheran faith.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
He was born April 5, 1964 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Charles and Nattella (Talford) Halfacre.
David is survived by one brother - Mike Halfacre and Debbie of Pinckneyville, one sister - Debbie Brown and Mark of Du Quoin, one niece, three nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At David's request, his body was donated to SIU School of Medicine at Carbondale, so that others may benefit from his generosity.
