David E. Millin, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:30 A.M., Monday, November 18, 2024 at the SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL.
David had been a machine operator at Gilster Mary-Lee.  He loved gardening and dancing.  He enjoyed collecting antiques and restoring antique furniture.  David loved his cats, family, and especially loved his grandbabies.
He was born April 1, 1949 in West Frankfort, IL, the son of Francis Millin and Louise (Irvin) Lempke and step father - Edward Lempke Jr.
David married Barbara Millin and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2012.
He is survived by one daughter - Tina Kurtz and husband David of Du Quoin, one granddaughter - Randee Rury and husband Michael of Du Quoin, two great grandchildren - Rylee Rury and Nathanael Rury, significant other - Donna Braden of Ziegler, one sister - Dorothy Likes of Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, step father, wife, one great granddaughter - Joy Rury, and one sister - Helen Bernardini.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
