Dennis David Bathon, 69, of Tamaroa, lovingly referred to as "Pops" by many, passed away peacefully at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home.
Dennis was born on May 10, 1951 in Berwyn, IL, to David and Genevieve (Zielinski) Bathon.
He was the devoted husband of Deborah (Miller) for forty-seven years, dear brother of Jacqueline Schnulle and husband Gerald, Carol Michalik and companion George Pawalk.
He was the loving father to daughters Dyan Quinn and husband Daniel Quinn, Dawn Bathon and husband Robert Vondras and grandson Wyatt Vondras, and daughter-in-law Tanya Tocheck and grandchildren Kelly Bathon, Logan Bathon, and Avery Gowin.
He was cherished Uncle to his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son Dennis David Bathon, Jr., brother David Bathon, Jr. who died in infancy, and Carol Michalik's husband Francis "Buddy".
Dennis was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois, IL.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
