Dennis James Ratajczyk, 68, of Scheller, passed away at 5:38 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his residence.
Dennis had owned and operated a sawmill. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was born July 24, 1953 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the son of James E. and Isabel B. (Dublo) Ratajczyk.
He is survived by one son - Shawn Hunter and wife Erika of Nashville, IL, one daughter - Tisha Hunter of Nashville, IL, five grandchildren - Dakota Hunter of Salem, Whitley Hunter, Jace Hunter, Anessa Boldrey, and Kelcey Hunter, all of Nashville, IL, one brother - Randy Ratajczyk of Du Quoin, one sister - Carol Overton and husband Todd of Assumption, IL, three nephews - Jude Ratajczyk, Heath Garner and Hayden Garner, and one niece - Kate Garner.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the St. Barbara Cemetery at Scheller.
