Diana Mae Hunter, 72, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:06 P.M., Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Diana had worked at Five Star Industries in the factory.  She enjoyed watching ballgames, especially St. Louis Cardinal baseball.  Diana was a Du Quoin Indian fan and loved watching Elvis.  She was a country music fan and enjoyed the night shows at the fair.  Diana also loved to cook.
She was born September 6, 1950 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Hahn) Hunter.
She is survived by one aunt - Wanda Thorpe of Du Quoin, one uncle - Ray Hahn of New Hampshire, cousins - Steve and Sharon Huelsmann of Pinckneyville and Ray Huelsmann of Marion, many other cousins and her Five Star family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister - Sharon Kay and special Grandma Mom Hahn.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin with the family conducting the service.
Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Five Star Industries and will be accepted at the funeral home.
