Dianna Scarber, 78, of Du Quoin, died at 5:30 P.M., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
She was born April 29, 1945 in Du Quoin, IL to Howard D. and Wanda (Thompson) Teel.
She married Billy D. Scarber on April 21, 1962 in Du Quoin.
She is survived by her three sons - Lyle Dean Scarber, wife Martine, their daughters Malory and Audrey of Roodhouse, IL, James Dale Scarber, wife Angie, their two children - Kirtley and Caden of Du Quoin, IL, Jason Ray Scarber, his three children Ella, William, and Madilyn of Lawrenceville, IL, son-in-law Scott Greenwood, his and Janet's children Rachel Taylor and Caleb Greenwood, eight great grandchildren, one brother Ken Teel of Festus, MO, one sister Annetta Huggins of Pinckneyville, IL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy, one daughter Janet Greenwood, two brothers and two sisters.
Dianna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Nothing brought her more joy than being with her family.  Dianna was fondly known as "Slick" by her family, a name given to her by her loving husband, Billy.  She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gaylen Holden officiating.
Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa, IL.
Friends may make memorials to a charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
