Donald J. Fisher, 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:47 A.M., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL.
Donald had been a sales manager for Van Waters Chemical Company. He was a member of the Sunfield Methodist Church. Donald was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He loved to dance and was a member of Dandy Dancers in Fairview Heights and Centralia Square Dancers.
He was born September 26, 1937 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Leland A. and Mary M. (Poiter) Fisher.
He is survived by one son - Donald Howard Fisher of California, one brother - Delbert Fisher of Du Quoin, two sisters - Shelby Sizemore and husband Lyle of Du Quoin and Colletta Degenhardt of Pinckneyville, special friends - Jerry Rainwater and Myrna Beasley and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters - Glenna Blythe and Dolores Huggins.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with Rev. Bill Wiggs officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
