Donald Wayne Gurley, 65, of Buncombe, IL, passed away at 10:11 P.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Wayne had repaired medical equipment.  He loved animals, especially his cats.  Wayne was a great man and very caring. He was the best father.
He was born April 28, 1959 in Lynchburg, VA, the son of Donald and Della May Gurley.
He is survived by his daughter - Sarah Gurley of Du Quoin, granddaughter - Stevie Gurley of Du Quoin, sister - Kaye of McClure, MO, former wife - Jami Meyers of Du Quoin, and good friend - Loretta.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Wayne's request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
