Donald L. Johnson, 69, of Murphysboro, passed away at 3:09 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Don had been an over-the-road truck driver.  He was a member of the Dowell Baptist Church.  Don enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He was born July 14, 1956 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Robert and Eunice (Mills) Johnson.
He married Crystal Evans on May 2, 1998 in Ava, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Murphysboro, three children - Christy Pendegraft and Dennis of Missouri, Daniel Johnson of Elkville, and Seth Meracle of Illinois, ten grandchildren - Mathew Pendegraft and Heather, Dennis Corwin, Jacob Pendegraft and Samantha, Noah Pendegraft, Jeremiah Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Emily Johnson, Elias Meracle, and Toby Johnson-Knight, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister - Beverly Price.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Philip White officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Dowell Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
