Donna Lynn Taylor, 55, of Du Quoin passed away at 3:59 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Donna had worked as a CNA at Fair Acres Nursing Home for many years. She had also worked at Motomart for several years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Donna was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary.
She was born August 6, 1970 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of James and Alma (Such) Cavins.
Donna married Sam Hensley on July 24, 2021 in Du Quoin, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, son - Dustin Taylor of Du Quoin, daughter- Erica Taylor and fiancee Jordan Wiggins of Du Quoin, six siblings - Randy Cavins, Donnie Cavins, Teresa Cavins, Diane Cavins and Ricky Cavins, all of Du Quoin, and Jimmy Cavins of Pinckneyville, numerous nieces and nephews, and three great nieces and one great nephew - Olivia, Nova, Jazmine and Trey.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and brother - Dean Cavins.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
