Dorothy Janelle Brockel, 82, of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away at 5:45 A.M., Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her residence.
Dorothy had been an ABA therapist and teacher for a special education school.
She was born February 18, 1940 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Dean and Betty (Hurt) Loucks.
She is survived by one son - Timothy Davison of Lake St. Louis, MO, three daughters - Laura Ann Davison of Du Quoin, Lottie Ridgeway of Du Quoin, and Deanna Wiemar of Lake St. Louis, MO, two adopted sons - Dorin Wiemar and Damon Wiemar, both of St. Louis, MO, two sisters - Rosemary Niedens of Colwich, KS and Marniece Lockeby of Newton, MA, thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Dean Loucks and Betty and Bill Lockeby, grandparents - Tom and Lottie Loucks and Clarence and Dorothy Hurt, one son - Thomas Dean Davison, two grandsons - Thomas B. Clark and Jonathan Davison, and one brother - Spencer Lockeby.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Dorothy's family will conduct a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.
