Eloise Lipe, 90, of Vergennes, passed away at 8:30 P.M., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, IL.
Eloise had been a homemaker.  She was a member of Matthews Baptist Church in Pinckneyville.  Eloise enjoyed quilting and crocheting and she would make baby blankets.  She also enjoyed gardening and always had a large flower garden.
She was born March 1, 1934 in Anna, IL, the daughter of Homer and Edith (Mendenhall) Toler.
She married Rondle R. Lipe on March 15, 1952 in Murphysboro, IL and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2007.
She is survived by one son - Kevin Lipe and wife Alisha Bowlby of Vergennes, IL, one daughter - Julia Lipe of Valley Springs, CA, two brothers - Carroll Toler of Thompsonville and Dee Toler of Jonesboro, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Rondle W. Lipe, one granddaughter - Shaylee, and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Carroll Toler and Dylan Lipe officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass, IL.
Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Matthews Baptist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
