Eva Lois Evans, 82, of Vergennes, passed away at 4:09 P.M., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the home of her son in Vergennes.
Eva had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church.
She was born December 21, 1938 at Charleston, MO, the daughter of Alfred and Inus (Millsap) Sanders.
She married A. Eugene Evans on July 31, 1956 at Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1996.
She is survived by one son - Alan Evans and wife Patti of Vergennes, one daughter - Joella Gossett and husband Rich of Du Quoin, four grandchildren - Jordan Evans and wife Emily, Caitlin Cushman and husband Josh, Colby Bigham and husband Trent, and Cannon Gossett, all of Du Quoin, three great grandchildren - Winton Bigham, Mila Evans and Penelope Cushman and one on the way - Magnolia Bigham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Ron Kreid officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston, MO.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston, MO.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
