Evelyn H. Odom, 102, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:50 A.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Fairview Nursing and Rehab in Du Quoin, IL.
Evelyn had been a retail sales clerk for J.C. Penny's in Carbondale until she was approximately 87 years old.  She was of the Christian faith.
She was born September 25, 1922 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Jasper and Florence (Hawkins) Harris.
She married Martin Odom in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by one step daughter - Joann Blevins of Du Quoin, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one step daughter, five brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, IL with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, IL.
