Evlyn Marie Bean, 97, of Christopher, passed away at 8:55 P.M., Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her residence.
Evlyn had been a homemaker and dog groomer. She was of the Protestant faith.
She was born October 15, 1924 at Royalton, IL, the daughter of Gus and Ruby (Ward) Kuhnke.
She married Thomas Edward Bean on January 20, 1943 at Vancouver, WA and he preceded her in death in July of 1997.
She is survived by two sons - Robin Lee Bean and wife Debbie of Christopher and Danny Owen Bean and wife Helen of Mulkeytown, one sister-in-law - Pearl Stokes of Indiana, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons - Timothy Jon Bean and Thomas Edward Bean, Jr., one great granddaughter - Kailey Nicole Bean, one brother - Gus "Manny" Kuhnke, Jr., two sisters-in-law - Bonnie Spiller and Joan Kuhnke, and one brother-in-law - James Bean.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. James Penson officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Miners Cemetery at Royalton, IL.
