Frances Ruth Armstrong, 80, of Mulkeytown, passed away at 5:00 A.M., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at The Landings at Carbondale, IL.
Frances had been deputy comptroller for Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin for thirty-five years.  She enjoyed her flower gardens, rock and roll music, and her family.
She was born February 9, 1945 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Frank and Louella (Weidner) Yuenger.
She married Chester Armstrong on December 22, 2010 at the Presbyterian Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Mulkeytown, three sons - Timothy Ramsey and wife Jami of Sesser, Michael Ramsey and wife Tami of Austin, TX, and Christopher Ramsey of Mulkeytown, six grandchildren - Garrett Ramsey, Timbre Colley and husband Ross, Scott Ramsey, Britani Somers, Nathan Ramsey, and Makinzi Wright, and four great grandchildren - Kennady Ramsey, Layne Colley, Hunter Colley, and Lincoln Colley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers - William Yuenger and Michael Yuenger, and one step son - Chester Armstrong, Jr.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from Noon until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to West Franklin Historical District, 2130 School House Road, Mulkeytown, IL 62865 or will be accepted at the funeral home.
