Franklin Dale McGinnis, 56, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:50 P.M., Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the SIH Herrin Hospital.
Dale had worked in general construction as a laborer.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was born May 26, 1968 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Gary Dale and Sondra K. (Woodrome) McGinnis.
He is survived by his children - Amber McGinnis, Jessie McGinnis, Linsay Landis, Timothy McGinnis, Joshua McGinnis, and Daniel McGinnis, all of Du Quoin, his parents - Gary and Sondra McGinnis of Du Quoin, one sister - Connie R. Jones of Du Quoin, nephews and nieces - Chad P. Jones, Adrian A. Jones, Shayde R. Patton, and Lexie A. Jones, and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin with Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
