Geneva Ruth Weis, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:45 A.M., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Diane Marks, in Du Quoin.
Geneva had been a farmer's wife and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Geneva was a member of XYZ church group, Euzelian Sunday School Class, PTA and was a school room mother.
She was born April 3, 1928 at Coulterville, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Benson) Johnson.
She married Eugene C. Weis on October 25, 1947 at Du Quoin, IL and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2016.
She is survived by two daughters - Diane Kay Marks and husband Terry and Delores Jean Williams, all of Du Quoin, one son - Gary Weis and wife Cathy of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren - Jarod Marks and wife Heather, Shawn Marks and wife Rachel, Nathan Marks and wife Grace, Bryce Marks and wife Kari, Christi Weis, Heather Wilson and husband Josh, Tyler Weis, and Sarah Williams, fifteen great grandchildren - Alex Carrow, Marina Carrow, Danni Kay Marks, Easton Marks, Roe Marks, Bly Marks, Mariah Marks, Kysen Marks, Emilia Marks, Bryce Ray, Raegan Ray, Mackenzie Jones, Mila Wilson, Tristen Weis, and Saylor Weis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother - Roy Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
