Genevieve Leona Barnowski, 96, of Nashville, IL, passed away at 10:17 A.M., Friday, November 7, 2025 at her residence.
Genevieve had been a factory worker at Bussmann Fuse in St. Louis, MO from 1948 until December of 1996.  She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill, IL.  Genevieve had lived in St. Louis until 1997 when she moved to Nashville.
She was born August 8, 1929 in Du Bois, IL, the daughter of August and Cecelia (Bonk) Lamczyk.
She married Phillip Barnowski on October 6, 1952 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1983.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers - James Lamczyk and Edwin Lamczyk and two sisters - Marcella Lamczyk and Emily Chlebowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill with Fr. John Igwe officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Todds Mill, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Masses or St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
