Georgia E. Fleming, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away peacefully in her home with her family with her at 2:50 A.M., Monday, December 15, 2025.
Georgia had been a caregiver for Dr. and Mrs. Thornburg for many years. After their passing she continued to be a caregiver for her family members. She had also worked at the Lincoln State Hospital for several years.
She had attended the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin. She had also been on a bowling team since 1982.
She was born March 11, 1943 in Petersburg, IL the daughter of Earl and Beulah (McMullin) McMillin Sr.
Georgia married Charles A. Fleming on June 11, 1958 at Clinton, IL and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2012.
She is survived by a son- Michael Fleming and wife Penni of Du Quoin, five grandchildren- Michael Fleming Jr. and wife Leanne of Centralia, Kenny Fleming and wife Becky of Carbondale, Ashley Sneed and husband David of Carterville, Johnathan Ferguson and wife Samantha of North Carolina, and Heather Kjellesvik, ten great grandchildren- Sydney, Pierson, Deidra, Charli, Alanis, Landrie, Lucas, Teagan, Gunner and Georgia, one great great grandchild- Ember, sister- Lula Belle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Steven, brother- Earl, and sister Martha Hampleman.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.
Those attending the services are ask to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
