Helen Murray, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:15 P.M., Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the SIH Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Helen had been a waitress and hostess at To Perfection for forty years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Du Quoin. Helen was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Du Quoin Elks Lodge and Junior Women's Club.

She was born May 20, 1930 at Dowell, IL, the daughter of Mike and Anna (Kuhn) Buyaki.

She married Harry Robert Murray on November 20, 1946 at Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1982.

She is survived by one daughter - Terra Beard and husband Jerry of Du Quoin, one son - James R. Murray and wife Nancy of Conifer, CO, and two grandchildren - Rachel V. Murray of Denver, CO and Claire A. Murray of Aurora, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters - Anna Harmon and Margaret Rea.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 18, 2021 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the First Christian Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
