Howard Leroy Knapp, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:02 P.M., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his residence.
Howard had been a truck driver for Southern Illinois Movers. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was born October 3, 1933 at Tamaroa, IL the son of Walter and Martha (Waligorski) Knapp.
Howard married Jennie P. Clark on July 12, 1958 at Pinckneyville, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, son- Jeff Knapp and wife Rhonda of Du Quoin, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons- Wayne Knapp and Michael Knapp and several brothers and sisters.
Per Howard's request cremation rites were accorded.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Saturday, May 21, at the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home and the graveside service.
