Jackie L. Pierce, 89, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:35 A.M., Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Jackie had worked at Mallory, Berg's Market, Wiggins Chiropractic, Walker's Man Alive, Jack and Jill, Bookstaver Bookstore and Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Liberty Church in Du Quoin. Jackie had also been a member of D.D.E. Club.

She was born September 28, 1931 at West Frankfort, IL, the daughter of Anton and Frances (McCurdy) Berg.

She married Clyde Pierce on August 2, 1959 at Du Quoin, IL and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2017.

She is survived by two daughters - Debbie Eaves and husband Dan and Penni Fleming and husband Mike, all of Du Quoin, three grandchildren - Gretchen James and husband Frankie, Carry Bailey and wife Chantel, and Heather Kjellesvik, three great grandchildren - Dawson James and wife Krista, Olivia James and Charli Bailey, and one great great grandchild - Kinsley Lemmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Private family graveside services will be on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Harrison Cemetery at Buckner, IL with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.

Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery at Buckner, IL.

Friends may make memorials to the Liberty Church in Du Quoin or Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
