James R. Lively, Jr., 56, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:48 A.M., Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.
James had been a painter.  He enjoyed being outside, riding around town and dancing to Michael Jackson.  James was an avid Cowboys fan.
He was born October 5, 1969 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of James R. and Barbara D. (Ingram) Lively, Sr.
He married Diania Lohman on September 19, 1997 in Du Quoin, IL and she preceded him in death on June 25, 2024.
He is survived by five children - Dallas Lively of Mt. Vernon, Lexie Lively of Buckner, Dakota Miller and husband Kyle of Marion, Joseph Stork and wife Hannah of Pinckneyville, and April Konkel and husband Anson of Clearwater, KS, his mother - Barbara D. Bedar and husband Ross of Elkville, his father - James R. Lively, Sr. of Du Quoin, six grandchildren, one sister - Roxana Cobin and husband Brett of Elkville, one brother - Timmy Lively and wife Jamie of Du Quoin, three step brothers - Jerry Waters and wife Melody of Du Quoin, Clinton Waters, and Sean Bedar of Carbondale, one step sister - Carol Greenlee and husband Sean of Carterville, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
