Janet R. Pyron, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:23 A.M., Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Janet had worked at Country Set.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Janet had been a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader.  Janet spent many years volunteering and dedicating her life to her grandchildren and their activities.
She was born January 21, 1942 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Spiller) Teaney.
She married Raymond Pyron on December 17, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three children - Mark Edward Smith and Susan Howland of Spring Hill, FL, Virginia Harris of Du Quoin, and Keith Pyron and wife Tara of Du Quoin, one brother - Carl "Sonny" Teaney and wife Brenda of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren - John Harris, Dustin Smith and wife Shala, Kevin Harris and wife Kim, Ashley Murry and husband Nathan, Melissa Harris, Wendy Funk and husband Briar, Brie Fletcher and husband Cody, and Dylan Pyron and wife Sarah, twenty great grandchildren, and special friend and caregiver - Rachel Davison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister - Linda Teaney and one cousin - Connie Little.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family with donations made to Melissa Harris and will be accepted at the funeral home.
