Janice Lynn Cheatham, 73, of Pinckneyville, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:17 A.M., Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Janice had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church.
She was born August 12, 1947 at Miami, OK, the daughter of Fred W. and Blanche E. (Long) Osgood.
She married Gary Cheatham on June 26, 1966 at Miami, OK and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2017.
She is survived by four children - Roger Cheatham and wife Laura of Macomb, IL, Kevin Schoenbacher and wife Kerri of Tamaroa, Tim Cheatham and wife Michelle of Carbondale, IL and Carrie Wildermuth and husband Richard of Pinckneyville, seven grandchildren - Timothy Gomez, Devin Cheatham, Nicholas Cheatham, Noah Cheatham, Calvin Cheatham, Chayenne Ferguson and Cooper Wildermuth, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Fred W. Osgood and Blanche E. Orrell, husband and one brother - Frank Osgood.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Ted Clark officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
