Janice Eileen Jaroski, 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:36 P.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her residence.
Janice had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Thornburg for many years.  She was a member of Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin.  Janice was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She was born July 16, 1939 in Shake Rag, IL, the daughter of Lester and Iva (Heape) Short.
She married Jim Dennis and he preceded her in death.  She then married Joe Jaroski and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son - Danny Dennis and wife Patricia of Houston, TX, one daughter in law - Melissa Cook and husband Rodger of Du Quoin, four grandchildren - Evan Dennis and Lisa Flores of Houston, TX, Tyler Dennis of Durham, NC, Morgan Payne and husband Chuckie of Du Quoin, and Madison Spain and husband Logan of Du Quoin, five great grandchildren - Emberlynn Dennis, Scarlet Dennis, Jackson Payne, Mya Flores and Elena Flores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son - Roger Dennis and two sisters - Doris Elkins and Lora Lee Porter.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gary Darnell officiating.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at her residence following the service at 306 N. Washington St., Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Residential Hospice or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
