Janice E. Valier, 81, of Searcy, AR, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the House of Three in Searcy, AR.
She worked as a sales clerk at Riggio's Shoe Box and Ladies Fashions in Du Quoin. Janice is a former member of the Du Quoin Church of Christ and a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ in Searcy, AR.
Janice was born April 29, 1941 in Mulkeytown, IL, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Koenig) Flatt.
She married Richard G. Valier on February 3, 1961 in Christopher, IL and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2005.
Janice is survived by one son - Barry Valier of Searcy, AR, one daughter - Mina Fielek and husband John of Dallas, TX, four grandchildren - Baillie Hamilton, Rhett Valier, Joel Fielek, and Thomas Fielek, one brother - Bill Flatt of Mulkeytown, two sisters - Laneda Perry of Du Quoin, and Brenda Flatt of Mulkeytown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law - Vanessa Valier.
Funeral services will be at 10:00A.M., Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Gerald Cowan officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be at the Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Cloverdale Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
