Jeanetta Rose Krug, 75, of Tamaroa, passed away peacefully at 8:30 A.M., Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
Jeanetta had been a nurse at the nursing home in Breese, IL and at Pinckneyville Healthcare. She was a member of White Oak Chapel in Sesser. Jeanetta had been a United States Navy veteran and had served in Desert Storm. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in Carlyle, IL and a lifetime member of the Eagles. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Jeanetta cared for everyone else before herself.
She was born March 15, 1946 at Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of John and Florence Maxine (Clampet) Harris.
She is survived by one daughter - Linette Eaton of Tamaroa, one son - Curtis Pitman of Tamaroa, five siblings - Linda Garavalia of Herrin, Roger Harris of Tamaroa, Peggy Gossage of Herrin, Randall Moss of Mt. Vernon, IN, and John Harris of Hallidayboro, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son - Charles E. Pitman, brother - Carl Moss and daughter-in-law - Carolyn Pitman.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa with Pastor Charles Gossage officiating.
Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the United States Navy.
Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa, IL.
A dinner will follow the service at Lively's Bar.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
