Jeannette J. (Emard) Goodman, 80, of Christopher, passed away at 4:52 A.M., Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL.

Jeannette had been a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith and had attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

She was born September 9, 1940 at Marquette, MI, the daughter of Roy P. and Clarian L. (Loveless) Emard.

She married George A. Goodman on September 9, 1959 at Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2005.

They had four children - John R. Goodman of Pinckneyville, Shelley L. Goodman (deceased), David A. Goodman (deceased) and Valerie Winberry and husband Doyle of Village of Valier.

She had seven grandchildren - Dustin Huite, Scott A. Davis, Nathan J. Davis, Joan Winberry and husband Steven, Junior Hillis, and Anthony Winberry and seventeen great grandchildren.

Jeannette has five living siblings - Raymond Emard, Arlene Little, Daniel Emard, Lois and Kenny Granger, and Leslie Emard.

She was preceded in death by her husband - George A. Goodman, one daughter - Shelley L. Goodman, one son - David A. Goodman, her parents - Roy P. Emard and Clarian L. Emard, five brothers - Howard Emard, Ronald Emard, Oliver Emard, Sonny Emard, and Larry Emard, and one sister - Dora Emard.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Mulkeytown Cemetery at Mulkeytown with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery at Mulkeytown, IL.
