Jennie P. Knapp, 81, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:28 P.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Nashville, IL.
Jennie had worked at Marshall Browning Hospital in the dietary department. She was of the Baptist faith. Jennie was a member of the Red Hatters.
She was born May 17, 1941 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Puckett) Clark.
She married Howard Leroy Knapp on July 12, 1958 in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2022.
She is survived by one son - Jeff Knapp and wife Rhonda of Du Quoin, one brother - Henry Clark, Jr. of Du Quoin, six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons - Wayne Knapp and Michael Knapp, three brothers - Joe Clark, Lee Clark, and Bill Clark and three sisters - Roxie Reynolds, Virginia Winters, and Edith Roth.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
