Jerry Lyle McMurray, 74, of Park City, KY, passed away at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY.
Jerry had been an inspector and painter at General Motors for thirty years.  He had also been an over-the-road truck driver.  Jerry was of the Methodist faith.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 231 in Cave City, KY.
He was born June 19, 1950 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Robert L. and Opal B. (Daffron) McMurray.
He married Laura W. Koenig on May 11, 1988 at Bowling Green, KY and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Park City, KY, three children - Michelle McMurray and husband Erick Luces of Apex, NC, Rob McMurray of Smiths Grove, KY, and Andrew McMurray and wife Elaine of LaGrange, KY, grandchildren - Jaqueline Poole and Alex Van Dyne of Nashville, TN, Dorian Luces of Ft. Eustis, VA, Adrian Luces of Ft. Eustis, VA, Ava McMurray of Smiths Grove, KY, Ashton McMurray of LaGrange, KY, and William McMurray of LaGrange, KY, great grandchild - Violet Van Dyne of Nashville, TN, and one brother - Richard McMurray of Mascoutah, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter - Bonnie McMurray.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. April Turner officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
