Jo Ann Fulkerson, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at her residence.
Jo Ann was a homemaker.  She had worked at Marshall Browning Hospital in the dietary department for twelve years.  She had also worked as a nanny for several families.  Jo Ann was a member of Du Quoin United Pentecostal Church.
She was born January 23, 1935 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Harry A. and Helen G. (Rogers) Murray.
She married Harvey E. Fulkerson on July 14, 1951 in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2019.
She is survived by two daughters - Linda Sprague and husband Ron of Thompsonville and Rebecca Fulkerson of Du Quoin, two granddaughters - Christina Montoya of Benton and Alesha Mathis of Tilden, one grandson - Michael Mathis of Du Quoin, five great grandchildren - Briana Ehler of Zeigler, Lauren Ehler of Johnston City, Kelsey Sinnitt and Chase of Sparta, Kendra Mathis and Luke of Benton, and Isabel Mathis of Du Quoin, four great great grandchildren, and her coffee buddy - Darrell Mathis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Ronnie Fulkerson, one daughter-in-law - Connie Fulkerson, three brothers - Andy Murray, Bob Murray, and John Murray, three sisters - Dorothy Pierce, Betty Thorpe, and Verde Mae Black, one niece - Cindy Minton and one nephew - Kenny Fulkerson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Du Quoin United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Sunday at the church.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Luke Evans Scholarship Fund at the church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
