Jo Ann Nehrkorn, 83, of Tamaroa, passed away at 2:52 P.M., Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at her residence.
Jo had been a homemaker.  She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa.  Jo had served as Sunday School Secretary for many years.  She had also served as Vacation Bible School Director for many years.  Jo was known throughout the community as the local Avon lady.
She was born September 23, 1940 in Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Frances) Miller.
She married Billy J. Nehrkorn on February 10, 1961 in Tamaroa, IL.
She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, one daughter - Lorri Cockrum and husband Tim of Tamaroa, one son - Jay Nehrkorn and wife Amy of Tamaroa, one sister - Tommie Perrachione of Du Quoin, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister - Mary Ella Cook.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa with Doug Phillips officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Tamaroa, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Friendship Church of Christ Missions or Antioch Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
